Privacy Policy
GlassCode is built privacy-first. Here is exactly how your data is handled.
Last updated: June 16, 2026
Our principles
GlassCode is a native macOS AI IDE designed for local AI workflows. Privacy is the default, not a feature you have to enable. This policy explains what data GlassCode handles and what it never does.
Project settings stored locally
Your project settings, configuration, and editor preferences are stored locally on your Mac. They are not uploaded to our servers and remain entirely under your control.
Prompts are sent only to the provider you select
When you use AI assistance, your prompts and the context you provide are sent only to the model provider you explicitly select. GlassCode does not route your prompts through our own servers, and it does not send them to any third party other than the provider you have chosen.
Ollama usage remains local
When you use a local model through Ollama, all processing happens on your own hardware. Your prompts, code, and responses never leave your Mac. There is no cloud round-trip and no external transmission.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, prompts, code, or usage information to anyone, for any purpose, ever.
Waitlist information
If you join our waitlist, we store the email address you provide for the sole purpose of notifying you when GlassCode is available. You can request removal at any time by emailing privacy@glasscode.dev. We never sell or share this information.
Third-party providers
If you choose a cloud model provider, your use of that provider is governed by their own privacy policy and terms. We encourage you to review the policies of any provider you select. Using Ollama keeps everything local and avoids third-party data handling entirely.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as GlassCode evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date. Continued use of GlassCode after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
